About Me
Profile
I am an LLM student in Public International Law at Utrecht University, specialising in Law and Politics of International Security as part of my second master’s at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a recent graduate of the Law in Society programme at VU Amsterdam.
Growing up in the conflict-affected Great Lakes region of Africa has profoundly shaped my commitment to justice, human rights, and international accountability. I aim to contribute to building fairer legal systems and advancing sustainable peace through law, research, and policy.
Inspiration and Motivation
“You’re never too young to lead and you should never doubt your capacity to triumph where others have not.” — Kofi Annan
I draw inspiration from the visionary leadership of Kofi Annan, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama, Patrice Lumumba, and Mwalimu Julius Nyerere. Their courage and clarity of purpose remind me that background, colour, or limitations are never obstacles to those who know where they come from and where they are going.
Their stories continue to shape my belief that our generation can drive meaningful change. Having witnessed suffering, inequality, and the slow response of decision-makers, I am convinced that true impact lies in building sustainable solutions rather than offering temporary relief.
This conviction drives my pursuit of international law as a means to protect vulnerable communities, address the root causes of conflict, and foster lasting peace through legal innovation, policy reform, and collaborative action.
